I would like to tell you a bit about my practice ...

I have been practicing law for 35 years and still love coming to work every day. This may be partly attributable to the fact that I did not come to the law at a traditional age. I was married and divorced before I was fortunate enough to attend Texas Tech Law School, and graduate in 1982.

During my marriage I managed several political campaigns in West Texas and realized that my calling was speaking out on behalf of folks who needed a spokesperson. The law was a natural choice for me. My first years of practice were spent representing injured workers. Now, I am primarily focused on assisting families who are going through changes in their family structure -- whether by divorce, custody, termination/adoption, child support or CPS. We are also very involved in divorce cases involving property division and have dealt with many complicated property issues. It is very difficult to divide the accumulation of a long marriage and provide for both parties – Collaborative Divorce is a very good solution to these issues.

A little about me ...

I am proud to be a native Texan! My family came to Texas as colonists with Stephen F. Austin. I am a sixth generation Texan. My family members fought in all major battles for independence. My ancestor, Col. James Clinton Neill, cried “Come and take it!” when he refused to turn over the Texan cannon at Gonzales to Santa Anna’s troops. My clients think I have the same attitude.
